The judge's tables aren't set up very user friendly for the judges, only 8 holding coops on the front with some behind or beside them. At least the holding coops have wire doors on the front and back for easy access for both judges and exhibitors. Getting close enough to the table as an exhibitor can be a challenge as the tables are set up sideways to the showroom. When classes are large such as the HL Solid Sr Buck class of 22, some of the better ones are placed behind but those holes quickly fill up and several re-sorts are done to get just the "first look" of the whole class. This no doubt slows the judging down and the judges had my sympathy. Both our HL judges, Ray Brewer and Hannah Means were very patient and didn't let this inconvenience bother them.
Many rabbits of all breeds were for sale as witnessed by the many For Sale signs at most exhibitors carriers. The raffle table is always full with items but I didn't even get a ticket this year, too much else to see and do.
This show is a bit unique as they hold a pajama fun contest. There are black last place ribbons. Also a Worst of Breed judging ending with Worst in Show for a coveted $25. Home Depot gift card.
More on the show in another post.
