This year our farmer has many extra bales available due to some horse people cutting back or no longer keeping horses. Probably due to the economy and not personal circumstance.
September 8th and 9th there will be another "Super Moon" as there was earlier this summer. I wonder if those are better days to breed the does. Years back another rabbit breeder produced a rabbit breeding calendar that listed the days of the month as bad, fair, better and best days to have successful litters. It even told of which days you'd get more does or more bucks. I did use it for a few years and it was pretty much on the mark and the "best days" to breed did produce the most successful litters. The latter part was a 50/50 chance buck or doe, so I didn't notice if that part fared as well. I've heard of others breeding by the moon cycles too.
