The usual "bunny crossing" staked signs are put in place as is the latest bunny flag. I raked the bunny manure compost off the top of the hosta plants as they are sprouting up through. They got huge last year and the shavings helped keep the grass away from the hosta. Forsythia bushes got the benefit of the excess compost.
Awards for the Saturday show are packed in the van along with items for sale. The tabletop grooming trays, papaya tablets and a few other items. Several bunnies for sale will be at the show too.
Entries and number of exhibitors are well up from last year's April show. A good note is Newport is usually one of the cheapest places to buy gas in the state too.
Taking quite a few young juniors this time. The last couple of years I've had way more brokens to show than solids. This year it looks to be the opposite. That's Holland business!
After the show, several pre-sold bunnies will be going to their new homes on Prince Edward Island. Congrats to the new owners - Brian and Katelyn!
