The bucks are sure dancing around with the nice warm snow-thawing day that yesterday was. Now we have puddles gathering in the low spots on the lawn requiring a few boards to be put down to keep sneakers dry. What is it they say about Maine's 3 seasons? There is snow season, mud season and the rest of the year is rough sledding!
Spring is surely here as Big Al's in Wiscasset has opened back up for the season. I always find things there that can be "bunni-fied" into decorations or awards. When I get a few things made up, I'll post photos.
The Hollander magazine arrived with results from the photo contest. On the cover is a photo of a baby bunny in a teacup, much like a photo published years ago of one of my baby bunnies in a teacup. Mine was captioned, "Coffee, Tea or Me?". The photo contest provided many pictures of Hollands in their "natural state" and not all posed up like little tin soldiers. It really shows their individuality and personalities. And takes the pressure off the photographer for obtaining that perfect "10" shot.
You can upload your own bunny photos to places like VistaPrint or Shutterfly to personalize things like address labels, which I did this morning. Shutterfly had a free code so all I need to pay is $3.00 for postage. Today only, March 30th. You got the choice of a magnet, 24 address labels or a luggage tag by using the Discount Code of "PICKME" at the checkout. I put one of my own bunny's photos on the address label. Getting just 24 labels doesn't sound like a lot but nowadays so few things are mailed, they'll last a while. Though they won't get "wasted" on mundane, non-rabbit folks like bill collectors. I used Shutterfly for Christmas cards this past year and was very pleased with the quality. They ship quickly too.
