Several jrs made their first show outing and acted like Tiggers, bouncy-bouncy-bouncy. The judges were patient while trying to evaluate the squirmers in front of them. Only a handful of exhibitors with Hollands but some really competitve rabbits.
I was very happy with my solid junior bucks and solid junior does taking both classes in both shows. SJB "Rocka-Fella" got his first grand champ leg (on Juniors page) and SJD "Gemstone" (on Juniors page) got one by taking Best Solid as well. "Hot Button" (on BSB page) got one with BOSV Broken. I had no broken jrs to show. Took five 2nd places in other classes.
It was the first time using the new vehicle as a bunnymobile and it worked out just fine. I'll always have the 3rd row seating down, and for shows, the second row seating will be down too. The second row folds just about flat, which many of the vehicles I looked at did not. I was glad to be protected from the rain under the hatchback door instead of the side opening door if I'd chosen the RAV4. I'll try a few different ways to fit the puzzle of cages which thankfully are the same size. Probably the straight forward "portrait" way of loading 2 carriers pushed foward with 2 carriers right behind them. Actually having the bunnies ride sideways is better when stopping and starting, they aren't going headfirst on stops or backwards on take-offs. Also can stack carriers on top if needed giving space for 8 four holers, more than I'd be taking. There is some room on the floor behind the front seats for water, raffle items, tote bag and of course on the passenger seat and floor if driving solo.
Today, more rain and chilly wind, so will stay inside and catch up on pedigree input and washing bunny dishes.
