We have a "herd" of turkeys that forage around the rabbit manure pile before the deer can get to it. No doubt some grain and sunflower seeds make their way to the pile along with the hay. Until today I'd not seen a Tom Turkey in full costume. This morning there was a big old Tom strutting, dancing and shaking his huge fan of tail feathers. That's a Turkey with Dressing for sure!
Then on the drive to work I spotted a wide wingspan of a white tailed bird flying high. It settled on a branch and yes, it was what I'd hoped to see, a Bald Eagle. He was no doubt fishing Cobbosseecontee Lake.
