Meanwhile I am stumbling along learning Windows 8 on this new super-duper computer. Did I mention the black screen of death didn't happen to just my computer, only 5 days before the little kitchen flatscreen TV went dark also?
Hopefully with this much faster machine I'll be inspired to take and load up more photos as the old computer sure was limping along while uploading to Weebly. Okay, enough of that, back to bunnies.
Cumberland Club will be having their annual summer nighttime show on Saturday, June 29th at Cumberland Fairgrounds. We need some Holland exhibitors, so come if you can. There is a show catalog on the D7 Newslist. Most all my senior boys are molting terribly. At least they waited until after the May shows. But I fear none may be finished into their spiffy new coats by next Saturday. The momma buns are caring for their litters, so they won't be going either. There are only a couple of juniors to go as most are too young still. It'll be fun anyway. The CCRBA club is having our ARBA President Mike Avesing judge along with Stacy Easton and John Soper.
Here is a photo of the front of the rabbitry with the hosta plants coming on strong. It is amazing what a little springtime bunny poop can do. I dump the pans in a wide strip across the front in April/May before the new leaves start to come up. It warms up the ground for them. The shavings mixed in with the bunny poop helps retain moisture too and keeps grass from growing in before the hostas come up. When I see a few spikes coming up, I clear a circle off so they can come up more easily and quickly. It's kind of hard to tell from this photo but some are as big around as a tractor tire.
Hope everyone is enjoying June 21st, the official beginning of Summer, it is finally here!
