A Holland Lop was the first Lop eared rabbit to win "Best Fancy" at an ARBA Convention? This was back when a Best Commercial and Best Fancy rabbit would be chosen to compete against each other for Best In Show. The year was 1980.
The first HL Standard called for 15 points for Fur and 15 points for Color and Markings. This would have given 30% to areas that receive so few points today and certainly aren't the distinquishing features that make up our great little breed. Also there were no points for Crown.
