Wyeth is a small but sturdy little four and and a half month old buck. I named him "Wyeth" in honor of Marylouise Cowan's favorite artist family, the Wyeth's. Grandfather N.C., son Jamie and grandson Andy, as she got to call them.
Marylouise bequeathed a three generation collection of Wyeth original paintings to the Philbrook Museum of Art. In fact, she gave them 15! Can you imagine owning that many great works of art? (not to mention owning several other wonderful paintings, including a Monet). Her generosity of sharing the paintings out of her private home so that many, many people will get to see and enjoy them wasn't a surprise. Marylouise was the most gracious person I'll ever meet. I know she would have enjoyed seeing this little broken buck, if only it were possible. I can almost hear her say, "Isn't he just mahhh-velous!".
