At their first official ARBA Convention in 1980 there were 26 Solid color and 1 Broken color Holland Lops shown. The Best of Breed winner went on to take Best Fancy, a huge feat and fantastic beginning.

Holland Lops were presented to the American Rabbit Breeders Association to become an accepted and showable rabbit breed in the United States back in 1977. The second showing was also successful in 1978. Followed by the 1979 showing where they were accepted with their own Standard of Perfection and could start participating at ARBA shows..
