The wheelbarrow is usually kept inside but has been out in the weather too. Between the weather and age the handles are beginning to get a bit rough. We searched and searched for something to put over the handles before we'd have to start picking out splinters. I did a search on the internet and found a great product called Re-Grip. We watched the video and you can to. Go to: http://www.re-grip.com/
Someone was using their noggin when they came up with the concept to create this product. We tried a few of the stores they list as vendors but none had them in stock, some could special order them but figured the heck with that and ordered them at Amazon. They come in 3 sizes, did some measuring, ordered a pair and they came in this week. They aren't cheap, about $13.00 each/$26.00 a pair. We expect them to work as good as the video shows. If it doesn't, you'll hear it from me but fingers crossed that they will do the trick.
You slide the tube over a tool or handle and pull the inner coiled strip which makes the outer casing "shrink" onto the handle as it unravels. Pulling the strip out is like unraveling a row of knitted yarn. All that is left is the outside casing which clamps right down on the handle. Neat, huh?
