I've been booking judges for some of the Maine shows. It always amazes me that many work full time jobs and are willing to spend some time in the airports, on flights or on the road to allow us the fun of showing our rabbits. They give up showing their own animals (not always rabbits either) and family time for little compensation. Thanks judges!
Some of the litters will be getting weaned this weekend. The fun of seeing new faces separately instead of in a "bumping over each other bunch" holds a special excitement. Some buns have their ears down already, some are working on it and some just make you wonder... when. Usually the "ear lifters" stop once they aren't getting bumped by their littermates or mom. What a difference in the head shapes once the ears come down to frame those beautiful faces!
